Royal Windsor Horse Show is located in the Private Grounds of Windsor Castle, in the busy town of Windsor.

Windsor & Eton Central Station is approximately a 10/15-minute walk from the entrance to the Show and is served by Great Western Railway allowing travel via Slough from London Paddington in the east and from destinations across the south west and Wales.

Windsor & Eton Riverside Station is approximately a 5-minute walk from the entrance to the Show and served by South West Trains allowing travel from London Waterloo in the east and many towns in the south and west via Staines.

We advise checking National Rail for train times before you travel.

The nearest motorways to the showground are the M4, M25 and M3. AA signage will direct you to available car parks outside the showground.

Travelling from the south and west

Please use the A303 /M3 (J3) as opposed to the M4 (J6) wherever possible, thus avoiding Windsor town centre.

Travelling from the M4 Maidenhead (J7/8) and Slough (J6)

Follow the AA signs to the Show car park.

Travelling from the M3 (J3)

Designated routes will direct you via Ascot, Windsor Great Park and Datchet to the Show car park.

Travelling from the north and east

Please approach via the M25 (J13) or M4 (J5) at Colnbrook. Designated routes will direct you via Datchet to the Show car park.

Operators or organisers of coach parties have two options for parking. Please note spaces are limited for Romney Lock Road and must be pre-booked.

  • Romney Lock Road Coach Park is located approximately a 5-minute walk to the Show entrance. Parking must be booked in advance
  • Alma Road Coach Park ia located approximately a 10/15-minute walk to the Show entrance. This can be pre-booked through the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Council website

Minibuses of up to 15 people may park in the Show Car Park and pay for x 2 car park spaces. Larger mini buses are classed as coaches and should use the Coach Parks described above.

Parking is available at the Show. The main public car park is located in Home Park Public, opposite the Box Office entrance to the Show. Parking is on grass and is around a 5-10 minute walk to the Showground itself. Spaces are limited so we do recommend booking in advance. Parking costs £8 in advance and £10 on the day. Car parking can be booked online or by calling the Box Office on 0844 581 4960.

Disabled car parking is located in the King Edward VII Car Park. It is available to Blue Badge holders only and must be booked in advance when booking your tickets. This is available at a discounted rate of £5. Disabled car parking can be booked by calling the disabled booking line on freephone 0800 640 5001.

Limited coach parking is available and costs £25 per day. This can be booked through the Box Office.

Park and Float – this is available on SATURDAY 16th ONLY. Visitors may park at Royal Windsor Racecourse (thereby avoiding the town centre) and either walk into the Show along the river (about 30 minutes) or they may catch a French Brothers Boat along the river with a short walk at the Showground end. To park and walk costs £5 per car. To park and float costs £5 per car plus £7.50 boat return per adult and £5.00 boat return per child. This option can be booked online.
